24 Hours of Le Mans & Normandy
While the 24 Hours of Le Mans was the main goal of the trip, it's hard to pass up a visit to Normandy to visit the historical World War II sites. Our accommodations overlooked Omaha Beach and it was the perfect place to call home for a couple of days while we visited the Normandy American Cemetery, the Longues-sur-Mer Battery, Pointe du Hoc and other moving places in the region. Our stay in Normandy was capped off with an incredible dinner at a castle that was used by both the Germans and the Americans as a base of operations during the war.

How do you transition from such a moving place like Normandy? By going somewhere with even MORE movement in the form of 200+ mph Le Mans cars. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the world's greatest sporting events and it draws in hundreds of thousands of people each year. We arranged to go "glamping" inside the track which allowed us to go to different areas of the track any time we wanted instead of needing to drive an hour each way to a hotel. The additional benefit of falling asleep to the immaculate sound of the Aston Martin Valkyrie was another positive in an incredible experience.
