Mugello on a Ducati V4S = Pure Bliss. Bring your partner along to experience the ultimate Italian Dream vacation as we visit Bologna, Florence & Cinque Terre with two days on Ducatis at Mugello added into the mix.
Day One (Saturday, July 23): Travel to Bologna
For those traveling from the US, flights will depart on July 23 and will arrive in Bologna the following day.
Day Two (Sunday, July 24): Bologna
Upon arrival in Bologna, this will be a calm day to allow us to adapt to the time zone change and casually explore the city without a set schedule. Bologna is known for it's architecture and culture so we will venture out to see what the city has to offer.
Day Four (Tuesday, July 26): Bologna to Florence
We will drive from Bologna to Florence to get situated in our new home base for the next few days. There is also the possibility of a visit to Ferrari in Maranello on our way to Florence.
Day Five (Wednesday, July 27): Mugello & Florence
Clearly this is the main draw of the trip - Mugello on a Ducati. We will join the Ducati Riding Experience at the cultural home of Ducati, the world-class Mugello Circuit. As we will be based in Florence, guests that are not riding at Mugello will be able to venture around Florence with SPD staff to take in the architecture, museums and possibly even a winery tour.
Day Six (Thursday, July 28): Mugello & Florence
One day at Mugello is clearly not enough so we will return for a second day with the Ducati Riding Experience. The group that isn't riding will also continue their adventures in Florence and the surrounding areas.
Day Seven (Friday, July 29): Florence to Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre is a must-see area on the coast of the Italian Riviera. We will call one of the five villages home for the next few days as we relax with great food & incredible scenery. For those that want the ultimate in relaxation, the beaches are there for your enjoyment. Those that want to push themselves a little will have the opportunity to hike between the five villages.
Day Eight (Saturday, July 30): Cinque Terre
The relaxation continues with another day in Cinque Terre. This is the perfect opportunity to venture off with your partner and enjoy one of the top locations in Italy. Take a boat trip, enjoy a glass of wine or just find a place to sit and enjoy the views in this Italian paradise.
Day Nine (Sunday, July 31): Cinque Terre to Bologna
Our final full day in Italy will see us drive from Cinque Terre back to Bologna. We will cap off an amazing trip with a morning in Cinque Terre and an evening in Bologna.
Day Ten (Monday, August 1): Home
The end of the Italian Dream - for now. We are homeward bound on Day 10, likely already planning our next adventure together. Perhaps Misano?
Day Three (Monday, July 25): Ducati Factory Tour
The perfect place to start the Italian Dream is with a visit to Ducati in Borgo Panigale where we will take a historical look at what has made Ducati the powerhouse that it is today. For those that would prefer to explore Bologna instead of visiting Ducati, SPD will have staff in the city to leisurely take in the sites.
